My Dad's job is pretty cool.

I'm tired of the bike, shoes, and swim gear. So, today I will talk about my old man. There is a pretty good chance my Dad's job is cooler then your Dad's job!

So what is it that my Dad does you may ask?

What has 6 million parts, 171 miles of wiring, a wing weight of 95,000 pounds, 63,000pounds of thrust per engine, carries 63,500 pounds of fuel?
Did I mention he holds around 480 souls in his bare hands?

My Dad is a Boeing 747-400 Captain for JAL! I still feel pretty proud when I watch my Dad taxi and takeoff in this MASSIVE of a hollowed out aluminium tube.

It's beautiful.

When are you going to get your pilot's license?

I have mine already! Just not current at the moment.

I thought you might already have some kind of flying license. I don't fly much, but if I do, it's usually JAL between Taiwan, Japan and Hawai'i. Once I met your dad all dressed up about to board the flight at Kona. He said he was just riding as a passenger. Maybe some other time he flew when I was on it.
