THE RAW MILK SECRET

I consider myself pretty lucky. I found the loop hole. A client of mine gave me the contact info for a raw milk vendor here in TX and they let me in! It was great. A group of people who have lactose and gluten problems order from one of the raw milk dairy farms here in TX. We all place our order for the raw milk, cheese, cream, etc. then every 2 weeks the farmer comes in to town to someones home where we then gather at the truck to get our goods. So cute! Since I have never tried raw milk before and its so hard to find a good dairy farm, I was PUMPED. I was just hoping that I would be able to digest the stuff and enjoy a big bowl of GF cereal. Well, it is AMAZING and PURE! So what is raw milk? Here's a little info from raw-milk facts.com . But here is just a little info to get you started.
There's little mention in the mainstream media these days, of traditional foods having healing properties. Sure, there's a ton of hype touting unfermented soy products, vegetable oils and supplements as modern saviors, but in reality, these items have risk-to-benefit ratios like many drugs do.

Few people are aware that clean, raw milk from grass-fed cows was actually used as a medicine in the early part of the last century. That's right. Milk straight from the udder, a sort of "stem cell" of foods, was used as medicine to treat, and frequently cure some serious chronic diseases. From the time of Hippocrates to until just after World War II, this "white blood" nourished and healed uncounted millions.

Clean raw milk from pastured cows is a complete and properly balanced food. You could live on it exclusively if you had to. Indeed, published accounts exist of people who have done just that. What's in it that makes it so great? Let's look at the ingredients to see what makes it such a powerful food.

Right now its illegal to sell in stores except for in a few states like California, Minnesota, and a few other but several people are campaigning to get it passed in EVERY state so go to www.realmilk.com. to support the campaign!

I also found both of these videos very interesting and TRUE!! Its the RAW facts!

I love this guy! Talk about PASSION!

  1. Awesome post!
Glutathione(GSH) is the key. You see the big thing we get from RAW/unpasteurized milk is a COMPLETE Amino Acid (AA) profile.
Well, what does that do for us? Included in a complete AA profile is cysteine (not cystine or creatine). CystEine and Selenium (not an AA) are the key building blocks for GSH.
    Awesome!
    So what is GSH?
Well, think of GSH as the master recycling center/Master AO and it mostly hangs out in the liver and the brain. We hear all this hype about AntiOxidants(AOs) (which we get from berries, green raw veggies, supplements and the like) Well AOs travel around the body picking up oxidants- or waste products from energy metabolism, the immune system that's constantly fighting infection etc. Without proper nutrition and antioxidants, our bodies would become a toxic waste dump. So back to GSH ... where's it fit in? GSH hangs out and accepts the AOs along with their oxidants that they've picked up and steals the oxidants from the AOs, releasing the AOs to go back out there and pick up more toxins. The GSH then deposits the toxin/oxidant in the liver allowing the liver to ship the bad stuff to the kidneys for excretion in urine
    .
If we don't have ample stores of GSH, then we end up excreting the AOs and the Oxidants ... thus loosing the AOs!
So the more GSH we have:
a- the more efficient our bodies are at recovering from workouts (cause we create toxins when burning energy), infection and disease
b- the less supplements we need to take as we are able to use the AOs over and over and over again instead of loosing them to excretion.
c- the better overall health we have
    d- etc etc.

There are many other proven research benefits of GSH as well as anecdotal ones. It is the next big thing.
In fact the Quebec Health Ministry is now heavily subsidizing AIDs patients with a Whey Protein supplement called Immunocal which is the only proven supplement that shows increased GSH stores due to its:
    a- patented packaging
b- patented processing that derives it's Whey (a by product of dairy) from a source that is not pasteurized to the same degree as most milk/dairy sources.

Why does normal off the shelf milk not have/give us Cysteine?
It doesn't give us cysteine because it is pasteurized to a high temperature that breaks up some of the AAs thus leaving an incomplete AA profile. One of the broken AAs is Cysteine. Cysteine can be found in most other protein sources (meat, fish, eggs, etc) but it is broken down due to it not being fresh, processing and/or cooking.
